A better way to download offline maps for Mappero is to use the Mobile Atlas Creator, which can be run on your local computer. There is no description on how to use it together with Mappero, therefore I can’t say if my way is the only one or the best. But thats how I got it done.

I was unable to find any instructions on how to sync Google Mail, Calendar, and Contacts with my n900. So, I tried using the instructions for the Symbian v3/v5 phones. Two of three were successful. One of the successes does have a catch. So others don't have to spend the time I did experimenting here are the instructions for synchronizing Google Mail, Calendar, and Contacts with the n900 firmware v1.2009.42.11.

As posted in the Maemo forums (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=35136), Google sync is not supported yet and causing problems for many people. I don't currently own the N900 (not yet at least ;)). This is a very important feature for me (and I am sure for many other people too) and I would seriously consider not buying the device if I could not sync my nokia address book with google contacts... Is this issue being worked on by Google or Nokia?

Anki is a program which makes remembering things easy. Because it is a lot more efficient than traditional study methods, you can either greatly decrease your time spent studying, or greatly increase the amount you learn.

The N900 itself can have multiple calendars, but you can only sync one of them. If the calendar you wish to sync has data in it, you need to either create a new one (you can do this later) or clean it out. It won't work otherwise.
