Motto started in 2007 as a distribution company for Switzerland, specializing in magazines and fanzines, a service which hardly existed before on the Swiss territory.
The number of available publications kept growing and it now comprises more than 350 titles, the catalogue being constantly updated. After establishing collaborations with major international distributors, the interest in books and smaller self-published items came naturally and it now constitutes a major part of Motto’s focus.
Truck Bearing Kibble is the creation of these two midwestern fellows. Jeremy draws. Eric comes up with shit. Sometimes, but less often, Jeremy also comes up with shit. Eric does not draw, but he does have snazzy pugs*.
Harmony is a new drawing tool, a HTML5/Canvas experiment with great potential. It provides some unique brush styles, and can produce some great-looking charcoal pencil style sketches, among other things. Better to try it out than explain it in words.
Messages in bottles, smoke signals, letters written in the sand; the modern equivalents are the funny, sad, beautiful, hopeful, hopeless, poetic posts on Missed Connections websites. Although a field that is often overlooked by bibliophiles and historians of printing and typography, several of the most important contributors to twentieth century book and letter arts have made significant contributions to the design of the seemingly modest postage stamp. All of the celebrated designers listed to the left have considered the specific concerns of philatelic design. Eric Gill, although only responsible for one design marking the reign of George VI, had (as one might expect) exacting and pointed opinions about stamp design, and carried out a lengthy public debate on the matter in the pages of the Times. Jan van Krimpen and his Enschedé colleague S.L. Hartz, designed hundreds of stamps for the Netherlands and her colonies. These, and the hundreds of examples by the above designers, are an unexplored resource of tremendous lettering and calligraphy which also provide exceptional insights into how these designers worked and solved problems.
I specialize in photographing people in environments, portraits, and landscapes for advertising and editorial. That's the official pitch. But really there's nothing I love more than engaging with the world on a visceral level – I need to touch rock, skim through water, feel the crisp air tweak my nose on a cold morning out in the big empty. A sense of place is as essential to me as food; it is sustenance and nourishment. I lament the things that are disappearing from our culture, and often this influences my way of seeing.

Designers and developers spend about 90% of their waking life in front of a computer so the most appealing genre for a wallpaper would be one that has beautiful design mixed with the all important aspect of being outdoors.
